HEATSINK

I want to feel light beyond
the LEDs of a computer screen
and warmth through flickering
machinery of my longing
I want to pass through static
hovering hands above my skin
like sun heat lingering on stone
and become open to touch

To stay unashamed of all this needing
I will make what I can of this
pain/love

When I come to a divine place
past the shapeless black curtains
in the empty spaces between
memory and connection
where being naked is different
from being laid bare for teeth
will I let my blood simmer
or will I lay to rest
